The story of how ONLINE College of Astrology came into existence dates back to the early 90’s and the “Astrology RoundTable” on GEnie online service. Ena J. Stanley, President of OCA, was always focused on bringing astrological education and certification to the masses. She and Ed Perrone, GEnie Astrology RoundTable Manager, negotiated with NCGR to officially sanction online classes. In 1995, the first-ever official NCGR curriculum courses were offered online, in GEnie's CALCampus, with Ena Stanley as the instructor. In 1997, as the Internet was gaining popularity and systems like GEnie were being pushed aside, Ena approached Ed about building her a website. She wanted to teach an independent curriculum that would encompass many of the astrological organizations’ certification requirements. In November of 1997, ONLINE College of Astrology opened its cyber space doors, bringing an exemplary astrological education to the home pc’s of students all over the world.

Today, ONLINE College of Astrology is internationally recognized for excellence in astrological education. Graduates of OCA are able to apply directly to NCGR for level-IV certification, omitting the necessity of taking Level I, II, and III examinations. Graduates are also exempt from taking ISAR Ethics Training Course and OCA is working with ISAR for exemptions on the Consulting Skills Seminar as well. Additionally, graduates are exempt from the Calculation and Interpretation modules necessary for the Federation of Australian Astrologers Practitioner’s Certificate and from certain courses at Kepler College.
